Research Centres and Field Stations


Biology's teaching and research resources are extended by affiliation with the Redpath Museum, the MUHC, Macdonald College, Montreal Neurological Institute, the Sheldon Biotechnology Institute and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama.

Students have access to state-of-the-art research labs, plus an impressive roster of research and field stations, including the Phytotron for controlled growth of experimental plants, the Limnology Research Centre, the Gault Nature Reserve, Huntsman Marine Science Centre in New Brunswick, and the Bellairs Research Institute in Barbados. The program includes optional field courses in Quebec, New Brunswick and Barbados.
