Teaching Assistant Workload Form

This form must be completed and signed by both the Teaching Assistant and the Course Supervisor. A copy will be kept in the Teaching Assistant's employee file.

Application for Teaching Assistantship
Summer 2017

This form should be used by all graduate students who wish to be considered for a Teaching Assistantship. Application for PhD Program in Developmental Biology

Student will need to describe past research experience as part of the application and, as stated above, provide a letter from previous research supervisor. Please fill out and return to Ancil Gittens (N7/4).

Students: Application for the McGill-STRI Neotropical Option is completed in addition to the application form for admission to Graduate Studies.

Travel Award Form
GREAT (PDF)

GREAT (Graduate Research Enhancement and Travel Awards) are given to students who will travel to present their research at a scientific conference. The amount of the award is $500. Priority will be given to students who have not previously received an award, but students who have received an award in the past are still eligible to apply. For more details and to apply for this award, complete the Application and submit it to Sonal Patel.

Once the conference is over and in order to receive the remaining funding please complete this expense summary for the GREAT Awardwhen an expense report is not applicable (see application form for more details).

   
Research Travel Awards
Research Travel Award Application Instructions (PDF)

Research travel awards will be given to students to fund research travel during the 2017-18 Academic year. The maximum award size will be approximately $2,000. Information for this award is provided on the application form. The next deadline TBA.

Once your travel has been completed and in order to receive the remaining funding please complete this expense summary for the Research Travel Award when an expense report is not applicable (see application form for more details).

These awards are intended to provide dedicated writing time to PhD students who are in their final year, to allow them to focus on writing their PhD dissertations and assist in meeting thesis submission deadlines.
