Salary

 

Hourly rate: $28.61

Per Term: $5149.80

Required Duties:

Hiring conditional to availability for attending the pre-lab orientation meeting on Friday, September 8th 2017 and the weekly Friday meetings at 9h30 in N4/2.

- Lead 1 six-hour lab per week

- Prepare pre-lab talk for every 4th  lab in rotation with 3 other demonstrators

- Hold tutorial every 4th week in rotation with 3 other demonstrators

- Grade 14 lab reports each week

- Grade a midterm question or a final exam question

- Attend pre-lab orientation (45 minutes/week) at 9h30 Friday September 8th  2017 in N4/2

- Attend weekly TA meetings: every Friday at 9h30 (September 8, 15, 22, 29, Oct 6, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24 2017) in N4/2

 - Hold 1 two-hour review session prior to final exam

Qualifications Required:

- Undergraduate degree in biology, biochemistry, microbiology or other related field

- Knowledge of basic biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics and fluorescent microscopy

- Must have completed WHMIS training within the past 3 years
