Summer positions in Cell Biology

Two positions are open for summer projects in Dr. Fagotto lab.

Candidates are expected to apply for a USRA/SURA award.  We are looking for students with outstanding academic achievements (cGPA > 3.8), strong motivation to pursue scientific research, and a good background and interest in Cell Biology/Biochemistry.
 
One of the projects will be essentially theoretical and will involve learning molecular modeling, which would be taught by an expert collaborator. The candidate is expected to have some background in theoretical biology/computer science.
 
The second project will couple Cell Developmental Biology and Proteomics. All required techniques will be taught during the internship. Prerequisite is excellent manual skills and a sense for precise, clean work.
