University Phytotron was designed and built during the period 1985-87 as a
centre for research in experimental plant biology.
It was officially
opened in March 1988. The facility brings together a combination of
growth chambers and greenhouse compartments to
provide a diverse array of environments for the growth of experimental
plants and organisms.

block of the Stewart Biological Sciences Building and has direct access to all Biology
laboratories and support facilities.
