What do I provide?


At least 50/µL well liquid cultures (we can dispense in the 96-well format, or you can bring 96-well plate(s) containing cultures
AND
plate(s) (Omnitray, Nunc) with 30mL solid medium

Can I use the yeast collections?

CIAN has access to the four yeast KO sets and the yeast GFP collection.

When do I submit samples?
Any day before 1:30PM

When can I pick up collection plates?

Usually same day at 5:00PM
Note that pickup time can vary with the number of plates to process

Can I have access to an incubator?

You can use our Cytomat incubator to incubate the spotted plates

What are the expected results?

Yields may vary among strains. In our setup experiments, we obtained 1-2µg DNA, the quality of which was suitable for PCR.

Any help with the analysis?

Upon request, we can work with you to create a database and analyze the data

I don’t have 96 samples… Can I use the service?

Yes. Partial plate can be run at the cost of a full plate
