User Training

Everyone must go through training before a given system can be used. Users are trained, not groups, so if you plan to use a system you must go through training. You cannot rely on another member of your lab to operate CIAN infrastructure. Only individuals (not groups) are trained. The training procedure follows:

1.
user places a training request
  • Microscopy: Training on microscopes and acquisition and analysis softwares
  • DiGE: Basic sample prep, sample labeling, 2-D, Typhoon and DeCyder operating
  • Typhoon: Basic use of the GE Typhoon scanning laser fluorimeter
2.
user is contacted and appointed for an initial consultation
3.
user is appointed for the actual training session on the equipment
